About the Role

As a Senior iOS Engineer, you will be part of the mobile development team working on our mobile SDK solving interesting challenges in close collaboration with our clients. You will also be working closely with other software engineers and product managers across other engineering teams.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, test, deploy and improve code that solves real-world problems
  • Operate with autonomy in solving problems
  • Take responsibility for system health and deployment pipelines including testing, packaging and deploying
  • Manage priorities, deadlines and deliverables
  • Own complex product features end to end - with a focus on impact on customers
  • Collaborate with other teams to deliver new products
  • Build and improve robust iOS applications and their components - including Rokt's iOS SDK
  • Act as a technical expert assisting clients to integrate Rokt SDK by architecting, leading and delivering integration projects as well as supporting clients' engineers to debug problems
  • Share your knowledge by giving brown bags, tech talks, and evangelising appropriate tech and engineering best practices.
  • Develop, maintain and improve cross-platform applications such as React Native and Flutter

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7+ years of experience in commercial mobile software development experience designing, building and operating
  • Deep experience in one of the following languages: Swift for Native iOS, and experience React Native, Flutter or Cordova is a plus
  • Deep knowledge of iOS or Cross-platform fundamentals, server interaction and inter-mobile-app communications
  • Deep understanding of how iOS frameworks or Cross-platform libraries work.
  • Capability around setting up and managing build/packaging/release pipelines of iOS applications or Cross-platform applications and frameworks using CircleCI, Cocoapod, Carthage, etc.
  • Expertise with iOS or Cross-platform testing frameworks: Unit test, Integration test and end-to-end test by using such tools as XUnit, BrowserStack, AWS Device Farm, etc.
  • Excellent communication skills in English - you can explain complex ideas to technical and non-technical audiences both verbally and in writing.
  • At Rokt we encourage autonomy; teams have complete ownership of their systems including building, running and monitoring. As such, you may be required to be on-call and respond to systems alerts should they arise.
  • Ideas, opinions, and the ability to share them through respectful proposals, presentations, and team-wide discussions, An eagerness to work and learn in the open and share your learnings with your teammates.
  • A willingness and comfort in communicating remotely through chat, docs, video calls, and other collaborative online tools

Salary Range - $215,000 - $270,000 AUD per year plus equity and benefits
