Job Summary
As the Senior IT Infrastructure and Support Officer, you will be responsible for overseeing the organisation's entire IT operational ecosystem, ensuring seamless operations, and leveraging technology to enhance business processes, in close conjunction with the Head of Technology and our IT Managed Services partner.
Job Task and Responsibilities:
Your core client is the internal team of 500+ employees across Australia, NZ and branching into overseas offices. The role is broken up into the following areas:
IT Infrastructure:
- Manage and maintain the overall IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and security systems.
- Implement best practices for data integrity, backup, security, and disaster recovery.
Vendor Management:
- Collaborate with external vendors to ensure the timely delivery of IT services and solutions.
- Negotiate contracts and service level agreements to maximize value for the organisation.
IT Security
- Enforce IT security policies to safeguard company data and systems.
- Stay current on industry trends and implement proactive measures to address potential security threats.
IT Support
- Provide timely and effective end-user support to employees on hardware and standard software issues and requests.
- Attend to escalated support queries from desktop support where required.
Infrastructure support and setup
- Support the organisation to ensure continuity across all critical elements of IT
- Attend sites (both metro and regional) to set up hardware and networks as and when required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an IT Officer in a relevant industry
- Strong communication skills (up and downstream).
- In-depth knowledge of IT infrastructure, security, and best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
