This role is to provide onsite L2 and L3 technical support to NIDA Staff and Students, and the Team Lead for the IT Department. You will have responsibility of elevated access to the environment and will need a strong technical understanding of IT Cloud (Azure) and on-prem systems (Windows/Linux).
About You
Essential:
- Previous experience in a similar role as Senior Systems Engineer Role or IT Team Lead
- Technical Criteria:
- Overall understanding of IT systems, hardware, and software.
- Cloud Technologies – Azure Admin Portal & Office 365 Admin Portal.
- Server/Desktop operating systems (Linux, Windows) – build and manage SOE.
- Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, RADIUS.
- vLAN management, Network switching, Wi-Fi, routing, and firewalls.
- Experience with server hardware and storage arrays.
- Communication
- Demonstrated commitment to providing excellent customer service with experience.
- Proven ability to communicate technical information and knowledge to a non‐technical audience e.g., students and clients.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively lead a small team.
- High level of attention to detail in work and documentation approach.
- Good understanding of Change Management Process.
- Information Security principles and practices.
- Relevant IT educational Degree and/or certification.
- Current Working with Working with Children Check or ability to show a valid check prior to starting.
Desirable:
- Experience in an educational environment.
- Experience being a Global/Domain Admin within an environment.
- Interest in the performing arts.
About the role
This is a full-time 2-year contract. The base annual salary is $110,000 - $120,000 gross per annum (dependent on experience) + 11% Superannuation, based on a 38-hour working week.
