Role description:
This is a great opportunity for a highly skilled Java Developer to work with the “rego.act” team - the team provides development, support, systems administration and database administration services for the rego.act system.
“rego.act” is a government critical system which supports the transport licensing, infringement management and vehicle registration functions of the ACT Government and has a very high volumes of citizen focused transactions annually.
Responsibilities include:
- Java Development on the rego.act platform
- Participate and contribute to the design and implementation of rego.act requirements
- Analysis, solution design and architecture - participation in requirements gathering workshops with business users
- Technical and Solution design and architecture documentation
- Software development and provide guidance to testing
- Deployment of software to various development, test and production environments and coordinate with other technical teams.
- Support and coordination with System Testers
Requirements:
- Enterprise base Java development including Swing
- Azure DevOps Build and release pipelines and work item management experience
- Application Program Interface (API) integration skills
- Experience with the Java™ Springboot framework
- Highly Desirable – experience with an enterprise grade public sector Java based application
