Form of workOne of Australia's leading Big4 Banks is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Java/DevOps engineer to join a multi-year transformation of the core customer tech stack.
You will utilise your experience and skills in platform and automation engineering, and take ownership in setting up the DevOps infrastructure for the platform which will then be maintained using the java technology stack.
Day to day you will...
Develop Java applications supporting platform automation.
Design & optimize automation workflows for on-premises environments.
Collaborate cross-functionally to meet platform requirements.
Drive DevOps practices adoption for CI/CD and infrastructure as code.
Work with Cassandra DB for data access and manipulation
Ensure security, compliance, and disaster recovery standards.
Monitor platform health and address issues promptly.
Troubleshoot technical problems and provide solutions.
Stay updated on DevOps and automation trends.
Evaluate and select automation tools and technologies.
We are looking for...
Expertise in Java development and related frameworks (Spring)
Proficiency in DevOps engineering best practices
Hands on automation tools experience (Ansible/Puppet/Chef)
Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and scripting languages (Python/Bash/Shell)
Solid understanding of infrastructure components.
Experience with version control systems and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins/Bamboo)
Agile working experience
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, a natural problem solver and quick thinker
