Senior Landscape Architect / Project Lead

Wyer & Co is an integrated Landscape Design practice, founded by Anthony Wyer in 2005.

Based in Syd­ney, Wyer and Co is team of archi­tects, design­ers, hor­ti­cul­tur­al­ists and con­struc­tion spe­cial­ists who col­lab­o­rate with our clients to cre­ate, con­struct, and main­tain, excep­tion­al land­scapes, for excep­tion­al homes. 

Wyer & Co. is expanding and we’re seeking expressions of interest from Senior Landscape Architects / Designers looking to join our Sydney studio.

A standout with your technical and practical expertise you are uncompromising in your approach, passion, and commitment to delivering an exceptional result. Equally, you will have experience leading design projects at a similar level and providing leadership and guidance to team members of varied experience levels.

• Appropriate tertiary qualifications in Landscape Architecture / Design
• Proficiency in Vectorworks (preferred) or AutoCad
• High level of working knowledge of BCA, Standards & NSW planning framework
• 7+ years post-graduate experience at a similar level / practice
• Must have extensive plant knowledge and passion for gardens
• Experience managing end-to-end landscape design projects for the high-end residential market
• Display strong skills in design and documentation at all stages from concept through completion, including construction phases
• Experience working closely with high-end clients
• Excellent communication, organisational, project management and problem solving skills
• Have a natural ability and skillset to successfully interpret a project brief and deliver a design that is well suited to the site climatic conditions and appropriate to the architecture of the building
• Team player who is willing to collaborate, listen, learn and fit in with the culture of the Wyer & Co team. Wyer & Co prides itself on a Culture which is driven by the best design result for the client and team, not egos. 

• Firstly and foremost; design and deliver exceptional garden and landscape designs
• Interpret briefs and develop innovative design solutions
• Manage client through concept to documentation process with limited senior involvement
• Produce all necessary design, planning & documentation packages efficiently and with minimal oversight 
• Manage project & client timeframes
• Lead the management of the client experience and communicate through the installation phase (with the Construction Director)
• Regularly visit site and coordinate with contractors
• Liaise with and present to high-end clients
