Mater Research are looking for a Lead Clinical Trial Coordinator to join the Medical Oncology Division. This permanent, full-time role will be based at our South Brisbane campus.
Salary range: $116,504 - $123,286 (MRI L9) per annum plus superannuation and salary packaging
What you'll be doing
The Lead Clinical Trial Coordinator supports the conduct of high quality, oncology focused Clinical Trials at Mater Research. The role is a member of the Mater Clinical Trial Leadership team responsible for streamlining process and ensure compliance to the national Clinical Trial governance framework.
This role requires AHPRA nursing registration and a minimum five years' experience in oncology nursing, Senior Leadership and research experience. The role has responsibility for supervising the Medical OncologyClinical Trials research team, and oversight of compliance and financial management for the team. This role is responsible for managing start up activities for Clinical Trials including trial specific requirements, negotiation of budgets and allocation of staffing resources to specific trials and activities and the development of trial treatment pathways.
The Lead Clinical Trial Coordinator will work collaboratively with study Principal Investigators, Senior manager of Clinical trials, other team leads, direct reports, and internal and external stakeholders to create a positive environment that achieves best practice outcomes in Clinical Trials. There is an overarching requirement that Clinical Trials are complaint to the applicable local, national and international regulations and standards. The Lead Clinical Trial Coordinator will ensure that efficient and effective processes result in robust management of research data, resources, and finances ensuring quality Clinical Trial are accessible to all Mater patients.

About you
You will be a Registered Nurse with minimum of five years' experience in oncology nursing (including qualification in administering chemotherapy and related cancer treatments) and experience in a relevant field of research. You will also meet the below criteria:
- AHPRA nursing registration, without restrictions
- Demonstrated high level interpersonal skills and experience negotiating and liaising effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders (e.g., patients, families, clinic and non-clinical staff, sponsors, CROs)
- Experience in clinical leadership, Clinical Trial coordination, management and mentoring roles
- Demonstrated computer literacy and proficient use of standard Microsoft suite of applications.
- Current ICH GCP certification, with a demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the relevant guiding principles for Clinical Trial activities.
