We are searching for a dynamic individual to join our team as a Network Operations Associate, specializing in the Public Safety Network (PSN) for critical communications. This role involves monitoring and recording events impacting transmission sites and services across Australia for the P25 Public Safety Network/Government Radio Network, ensuring comprehensive coverage and swift response to incidents.Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and document events affecting transmission sites and services nationwide for the P25 Public Safety Network/Government Radio Network, ensuring a proactive approach to incident management.
- Employ troubleshooting techniques to address network alarms, initiating remote resolutions or effectively communicating fault conditions to field teams and relevant stakeholders.
- Compile detailed performance reports on major faults and outages, offering valuable insights into network reliability and opportunities for enhancement.
- Expedite the processing of coverage complaints, facilitating rapid diagnosis and resolution of network issues to uphold seamless service delivery.
- Provide vital support to the Service Management, Analytics, and Assurance Teams, contributing to the overall efficiency and optimization of network performance.
- Manage emergency and planned outage requests with precision, minimizing disruptions to network operations and maintaining clear communication channels with all involved parties.
- Coordinate emergency and planned site access requests, ensuring compliance with security protocols and regulatory standards.
- Document comprehensive post-incident reports and service management functions, enriching our knowledge base for future reference and continuous improvement initiatives.
You will need
- A bachelor's degree in Electronic/Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Business Management is preferred, or an equivalent level of demonstrated knowledge.
- Leadership experience in Telco or IT Operations.
- Proficiency in IT Service Principles and frameworks, including ITIL, process tools (such as Service Now), and best practice methods.
- Exhibit strong leadership skills to motivate internal stakeholders, with the capability to work independently and ensure tasks are completed without frequent supervision.
