Senior Learning Advisor

The People and Development Team has a fantastic opportunity for learning professional to join the team. 

The role requires the successful candidate to demonstrate experience in contributing to learning projects, coordinating training courses, stakeholder engagement, and managing Continuing Professional Development (CPD) compliance requirements and implementation of CPD related learning activities.

Candidates should have demonstrated knowledge of learning principles, experience in using a range of learning technologies including a learning management system and the development of training materials.

The successful candidate will be required to:

• Work collaboratively in a team to support firm-wide specific L&D projects and initiatives in line with organisational development goals.
• Conduct induction and orientation programs, including production of training materials.
• Engage with practice groups/individuals to assess capability, professional development and learning requirements and provide recommendations and strategies that will enhance capabilities.
• Work in a team to coordinate the development, engagement and delivery of annualised internal training programs, including professional development training for lawyers in accordance with current WA Law Society CPD obligations.
• Review and evaluate L&D programs in line with adult learning principles and consider a range of delivery options including face-to-face, webinar, online learning and blended learning.
• Manage all employee training data and submissions to ensure professional staff compliance with CPD obligations.
• Coordinate training course logistical requirements and training administration.
• Proactively network and cultivate connections within the legal community to discern compelling topics and identify speakers of interest. This involves actively engaging with legal associations, participating in online forums, establishing relationships with and staying up to date with legal conferences and publications.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

To be successful in this position, you will have:

• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in adult learning and instructional design principles for the development, delivery, facilitation and continuous improvement for both face-to-face and e-Learning programs.
• Ideally 2+ years' experience in a similar environment (preferably professional services)
• Highly developed verbal and written communication, presentation and facilitation skills 
• Strong interpersonal, collaboration and negotiation skills
• Highly motivated with a passion for learning and development
• Demonstrated organisational and prioritisation skills
