About the client
Our client is a successful business in the healthcare sector. A portfolio company of one of Australia’s leading private equity funds, our client has plans to drive significant growth through acquisition and strategic investment.
About the role
You will be responsible for establishing our client’s in-house legal function. This is a broad commercial role with a transactional element. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Commercial contracts, including material customer and supplier contracts.
- Supporting the Property Management team with strategic property transactions and developing
- M&A transactions and post-transaction business integration.
- Supporting the CFO with Board advisory matters and preparation of board papers.
- Regulatory compliance matters.
- Instructing and liaising with external lawyers.
About you
You will have 7-10 years’ PQE with experienced in commercial law, M&A and corporate advisory. Experience in a well-regarded law firm is preferred. Any secondment or in house experience will be highly regarded. You will be an enthusiastic self-starter with an ability to thrive in a dynamic and growth-oriented environment.
Strong technical legal skills and commercial drafting experience are both essential.
You will be a practical and business focused lawyer who enjoys working independently and dealing with a variety of people across all levels of the organisation.
