If so, you might be the person we are looking for to be an EL1 Senior Legal Officer – FOI and Privacy within the Australian Nuclear Powered Submarine Regulatory Design (ANPSRD) team.
As the EL1 Senior Legal Officer – FOI and Privacy, you will assist in the provision of high-level legal advice on major, complex and sensitive issues arising from the creation of the Australian Naval Nuclear Power Safety Regulator (ANNPSR) as those issues relate to FOI and Privacy.
As an EL1 Senior Legal Officer you will require an in-depth knowledge of, and compliance with, legislative frameworks, government decision-making and Defence’s mission and policy requirements. You will exercise a considerable degree of independence and perform a subject matter expert role and will exercise sound decision making and judgement to provide expert policy advice. You will engage in complex to very complex problem solving and issues management and may coordinate and perform detailed or sensitive projects that impact on strategic, political or operational outcomes for Defence.
