Established in 1995, our family-owned Australian company is based in Coburg. We specialise in the design of contemporary homewares products that are fashion forward, affordable and loved by consumers for a lifetime. Some of our globally recognised brands include Salt&Pepper homewares and Curtis Stone cookware.
Up until recently, we’ve predominantly been known for being a wholesale business, and we are now building on our strategic plan to expand our retail arm of Salt&Pepper stores to evolve the way we do things.
About The Opportunity
This role will see you play a critical role in the transformation of the business. You will collaborate with stakeholders to ensure the accurate and timely reporting of our retail and wholesale business.
This is an exciting opportunity with tremendous room for growth, as the business embarks on its evolution.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Ownership of the month end process including finalising the P&L results, analysis, commentary & balance sheet reconciliations.
- Budgeting, forecasting and business planning.
- Developing and maintaining financial models to evaluate business performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize cost management and operational efficiency.
- Fixed Asset Register maintenance.
- Assist in the setup of new stores.
- Ad hoc reporting and analysis.
About You
To be successful in this role you will possess the following experience, skills and attributes:
- CPA/CA qualified.
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role, within the retail and/or wholesale industries ideal.
- Excellent communication skills including verbal & written.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills.
- Someone who has been involved with systems implementation or process improvement projects would be advantageous.
- An analytical mindset with a continuous improvement focus.
