Robert Half Executive Search has been retained by a leading global organisation in the leisure and hospitality sector to find a Senior Manager ANZ - Hotel Operations & Performance.

Headquartered in the US, this publicly listed company is renowned for its high-quality service and commitment to continuous improvement. The APAC region, established over 20 years ago, is crucial for the company's long-term growth and success with a focus on growth within the ANZ region.

With several hundred properties spread across Australia and New Zealand this role will have oversight across key areas of operations, procedures, onboarding, branding, and procurement with a focus on strategic and continuous improvement processes.

The Role

Managing a small, high-performing team across franchise support, operations, systems, and training, this role will drive organisational improvements and standardisation across franchisee functions.

Reporting to a member of the ANZ senior leadership team, it is crucial for enhancing operational efficiencies, onboarding processes, and the overall franchisee experience.

It's success is vital for the company's continued growth and the maintenance of its exceptional industry reputation.

Key areas of focus will include:

• Working closely with key internal stakeholders, leading the management of the Franchisee Performance Centre.
• Oversight of openings and ownership changes, ensuring an optimised onboarding experience for new franchisees.
• Implementation of key business improvement initiatives across Franchise Operations.
• Optimisation efficiency and standardisation in compliance, brand utilisation, procurement, and onboarding.
• Ensuring resources meet business needs, addressing skill gaps alongside the Senior Leadership Team
• Management of a small, high-performing team, fostering individual growth and maintaining the group's culture.
• Continuously assessing and meeting franchisee training requirements.
• Overseeing special projects in procurement, training, ESG, and compliance.
• Leveraging industry and competitor knowledge to identify new initiatives for competitive and operational advantage.
• Collaborating with Operational and Procurement teams to promote continuous improvement and best practices.

Your Profile

The successful candidate will be a high-performing revenue or operations leader with a demonstrable track record of success within the hotel sector either within a large chain or managing a smaller network of individual hotels.

In addition, you will be able to demonstrate the following:

• Extensive experience in Hotel Operations, experience with franchised operations is highly regarded.
• Proven success in multi-site operations and/or revenue management.
• Track record of implementing initiatives for organisational efficiency.
• Excellent team management or mentoring experience.
• Goal-oriented and motivated to meet targets and deadlines.
• Exceptional communication skills and time management and organisational skills.
• Ability to build influential and collaborative key stakeholder relationships.
• Detail-oriented with a strategic perspective.
• Commitment to business values: openness, inclusion, integrity, and proactivity.
• High level of autonomy and self-management, results-driven with a sense of urgency.
• Innovative, adaptable, and problem-solving mindset.
• Willingness to travel occasionally across the ANZ region.
