About the opportunity:
Analyse financial information and prepare financial reports to determine or maintain record of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability, or other financial activities for the Firm’s clients. Senior Managers are also responsible for the management and development of junior staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and delegate work to the team.
- Detailed review of work papers and ensure they support financial statements.
- Applies knowledge of the business environment within which the client is operating and how the client is positioned in the industry.
- Consideration to long term perspective on client’s industry and identifies possible opportunities and risks for the client.
- Meets with clients and can form positive relationships.
- Manages workflow of the team and communicates with the partner on a frequent basis on necessary matters.
- Advises clients on practical and commercial issues and develops solutions which genuinely add value to the client’s business.
- Shares knowledge, best practices, and industry market trends to actively increase the overall knowledge of the team.
- Reviews work of junior team members.
- Designs, develops, and analyses financial models.
- Resolves any complex accounting issues.
- Analyses management accounting reports and provides advice to clients; and
- Ensure information in income tax returns is consistent with understanding of the client’s business.
About you:
- Business / Commerce degree with Accounting Major
- Completed CA or equivalent
- 8+ years’ experience in Professional Services
- 5+ years’ experience managing a team
- Strong Communication Skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Committed to continuing professional development
- Has developed internal and external network of specialists, professionals, and associations
