Retail Banking Services (RBS) is the public face of CommBank, delivering a seamless banking experience for the future, to our 10 million + personal and small business customers. . Within RBS, the Everyday Products squad is focussed on building innovative and value creating everyday products for all Australians. It is our role to drive sustainable growth of our everyday transaction account products, by delivering things customers love so they want to do all their banking with us.

As a Senior ManagerCards Modernisation in Retail Payments you will be a squad member dedicated to our transformation agenda and delivering our future platform for cards. A once in a career opportunity, you will leverage your cards industry knowledge, thought leadership and strategic mindset to deliver a new platform, simplification of our product and processes, plus feature enhancements and incredible customer outcomes.
More specifically you will:
- Lead across the Crew to enable multi-year transformational change, including delivery of the cards platform of the future
- Apply your judgement and delivery experience to drive outcomes in partnership with project and technical teams
- Develop and implement the strategy for product simplification, migration and future state opportunities
- Develop relationships with and work closely with vendor(s) and internal vendor support teams
- Manage deliverables within the squad, including with delivery teams
- Stay abreast of external market trends (from regulatory, economics to innovation)
- Be responsible for continued monitoring and proactive improvements of the product risk and control environment
- Ensure robust operational risk management, and continuous improvement of the product suite and processes
We want to hear from people who have:
- 6 years + financial services experience
- Cards, Payments Product Management experience
- Significant experience in partnerships, commercial contracts, vendor management
- Strong commercial acumen and strategy development skills
Strong thought leadership, ability to work autonomously - The ability and enthusiasm to act as a ‘change leader' in supporting transformational activities
- Experience dealing with a highly complex operational environment
- A track record of working collaboratively with multiple stakeholders across teams
- Experience in a demanding environment requiring high degrees of leadership resilience
