AddressPhillip Riley are partnering with a major Australian industrial leader to identify a Senior Commercial Manager to join a new and innovative team that is focusing on our clients energy transition and decarbonisation efforts to meet climate commitments.
About the Role:
As a Senior Commercial Manager, you will be an integral part of their Pacific Renewable Energy team, driving the development of new energy solutions across Tasmania, Queensland, New South Wales, and New Zealand. With a focus on reducing carbon emissions and facilitating future growth, you will lead the origination and execution of long-term partnerships in transmission, wind, solar, and storage projects. Reporting to the General Manager, Pacific Renewable Energy, your responsibilities will include:
- Leading origination and partnership development for new energy contracts.
- Managing internal and external approval processes for new energy contracts.
- Engaging with external development partners to ensure project delivery.
- Assessing financial modelling, market analysis, and deal structuring.
- Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
We are seeking candidates with a minimum of 10 years experience in the following:
- Deal structuring, financing, valuation, and investment approaches.
- Developing in renewable energy projects within the NEM.
- Leading negotiations of commercial contracts.
- Ability to provide strategic advice to senior leaders.
- Qualifications in law, economics, business, or finance.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic team environment.
