About the role
The Senior Manager Corporate Finance is responsible for the Group’s statutory reporting, preparation of technical accounting papers, monthly Group consolidations, external reporting to various agencies and management of the Group’s external audit engagement. The role oversees management of Shared Services reporting for Central Shared Services, the Group Taxation Team, and the Transactional Treasury and Controls team.
This is a 12-month Fixed Term Contract to cover Parental Leave.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee management of the team responsible for preparation of the Group’s annual and half-yearly financial reports, preparation of technical accounting papers and engagement with the Group’s external auditors for the financial year-end audits and half-yearly reviews
- Oversee management the team responsible for the Group’s monthly financial reporting consolidation process
- Oversee management of the Group’s Taxation Team which is responsible for all direct and indirect taxation matters for the Group, including international taxation reporting and compliance obligations
- Oversee management of the team responsible for shared services reporting for the Group, which includes over forty functional and divisional areas, including shared services such as MinRes Health, Childcare Services, Restaurant, Cafés, Property Management and Distribution Centres
- Oversee management of the team responsible for the Group’s centralised Transactional Treasury function and Internal Controls
- Oversight of the technical accounting aspects of due diligence investigations for mergers, acquisitions and joint ventures
- Lead a focused and experienced Corporate Accounting Team
What you’ll bring to the team
- CAANZ Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Commerce
- Minimum 8 years’ experience in a similar role
- Big four accounting firm experience (desirable)
- Presence and highly effective relationship building skills with senior stakeholders
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
