Purpose of Role
The Senior Manager, eCommerce is responsible for maximsing online revenue and profit by leading the team responsible for all online product and content, digital marketing, data management and email marketing, as well as delivering on key growth initiatives and the annual operating plan for the Ecommerce channel in Australia and New Zealand (ANZ). The role is responsible for the channel P&L and main KPIs including but not limited to, revenue, traffic, conversion, AOV, margin, inventory levels, operational KPIs, customer service scores, marketing plan, etc.
The ideal candidate has proven success working in a fast-paced environment, has a complete understanding of Ecommerce functions coupled with an acute attention to detail, and understands the unique challenges and opportunities available in an ever-evolving digital environment.
Your Impact
- Serve as the owner of the ANZ website: owns the platform roadmap, ongoing monitoring, continuous improvement, strategic direction, and customer satisfaction.
- Responsible for managing and implementing the eCommerce strategy in ANZ partnering with global and regional teams and ensuring brand guidelines and standards are fully met.
- Accountable for P&L results and budget control, driving team to deliver revenue, margin, and profitability targets.
- Serve as the leader for eCommerce in the country to drive the online promotional plan, ensure brand compliance for all content and ensure all seasonal product ranges are launched online on time and in full.
- Be accountable for all digital marketing execution and management of the performance marketing budget related to the eCommerce channel.
- Partner with the local brand marketing, retail and regional teams to on occasion develop local creative and predominantly execute global creative, including marketing/storytelling content and key product/technology stories, to ensure campaigns are represented strongly via Ecommerce channels.
- Regularly analyse online behaviour and use analytics to inform decisions to maximise eCommerce objectives and regularly provide feedback/insights on eCommerce trading performance to local and regional stakeholders.
- Be accountable for the Ecommerce operation in both Australia and New Zealand, partnering with local supply chain teams and 3rd party providers to achieve operational SLAs (such as DIFOT, CSAT, NPS) and strive for the highest consumer satisfaction at all times.
- Share accountability with the ANZ Merchandising and Planning team to ensure the product assortment and inventory levels maintain the highest availability at size level, while maintaining the proper balance of assortment depth and breadth.
- Maintain the daily, weekly and monthly website reporting and dashboards which include tracking of key performance indicators (KPIs), traffic sources, device usage, merchandising and funnel performance for ANZ websites.
- Forecasting: develop and own the financial calls (F-calls) for the eCommerce channel, forecasting future revenue and partnering with local planning and finance teams to forecast margins.
- Budgeting: work with local MD as well as APAC eCommerce Director to establish sustainable budgets that enable a profitable eCommerce business.
- Act as a lead for market insights about eCommerce trends, challenges and competition analysis in the local market. Understand and articulate local laws, consumer protection, data privacy and other compliance items that must be considered.
- Drive innovation and best practice implementation through ongoing research and testing.
- Manage eCommerce team and be accountable for team engagement and team performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Technology, or related field required.
- 5+ years Ecommerce experience required.
- 3+ years Digital Marketing required.
- 3+ years of Leadership experience required
- Complete understanding of eCommerce functions and processes.
- Demonstrated experience of budgeting and P&L management.
- Project management skills with the ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams.
- Digital experience including marketing, data and analytics, product software management, UX fundamentals and optimization of Ecommerce websites.
- Demonstrated experience of successfully managing multiple eCommerce projects in a multi-channel environment.
- Excellent communicator and stakeholder management skill
- Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Commerce Cloud, plus Adobe Analytics and Google Analytics is a huge plus.
- Strong leadership capability. Articulates a compelling vision and the roadmap to success; adept at aligning and empowering a diverse set of teammates and understands how to lead a high performing team.
- Team Player. Loves being part of a team, both leading and serving; demonstrated deep commitment to colleagues; highly effective in a matrix environment.

- Location: This individual must reside within commuting distance from our Sydneyoffice.
