About the role
We are pleased to announce that we are inviting candidate applications for the role of Senior Manager - Global Safety & Risk. As the Senior Manager of Global Safety & Risk, you will play a critical role in shaping and executing our safety strategy on a global scale. You will lead a dedicated team of safety professionals and work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the highest safety standards are met and risks are mitigated effectively.
In this highly visible and critical role, you will be responsible for managing improvements in process and personal safety processes, procedures and programs; supporting the achievement of legislative compliance; and identifying and implementing safety improvements.

The role can be based in either our Colorado (United States of America) or Lisbon (Portugal) offices.
What you will be doing
- Develop and implement a comprehensive Global Safety and risk management strategy.
- Support the management of the Group SHES audit program.
- Monitor internal and external SHES assurance issues, trends and opportunities.
- Establish and maintain safety policies, standards, and procedures in alignment with industry best practices and regulations.
- Lead and mentor a team of safety professionals to drive safety culture and excellence across the organization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and assess safety and risk factors in various operational activities.
- Design, develop and implement risk management programs including HAZOP, HAZID and LOPA.
- Monitor and report on safety and risk performance metrics to executive leadership.
What you will bring
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, safety, science or related field (post-graduate qualification or MBA highly regarded)
- Proven experience in a senior safety management role, preferably in a global or multi-location setting.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations, process safety and industry standards.
- Experience in auditing and SHES systems.
- Passionate to identify opportunities for improvement in SHES systems, assurance, and auditing frameworks.
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Willingness to travel up to minimum 10% of the time.
