Job Purpose and Scope:
Describe the responsibility and authority (budget, revenue, internal/external contacts)
- To lead the affiliate health policy function with the objective of shaping a favorable policy environment for AbbVie Australia.
- Develop impactful relationships with Medicines Australia and other relevant think tanks/influencing bodies locally and globally in order to achieve objective(s).

- Lead the policy project team to ensure a sustainable model of monitoring, scanning and prioritising issues.
- Co-ordinate and drive development of policy positions and proactive projects arising.
- Build internal networks across the business and with global teams to ensure alignment to AbbVie policy positions.
- Implement advocacy projects in collaboration with the External Affairs and Patient Relations/Communications functions
- Maintain a deep understanding of current and anticipated future policy trends through engagement with think tanks and relevant bodies and ensure translation into Abbvie strategy
- Lead/participate in relevant Med AU and multi-company task force initiatives where relevant.
