About the role
We seek a dynamic and inspirational Senior Manager – Cyanide Product Line to join our onsite Leadership team at Yarwun.
Reporting to our Site General Manager, you will be a pivotal member of the Yarwun Leadership team, taking accountability for the safe and efficient production of sodium cyanide, a critical chemical reagent used in the extraction of gold from ore across the globe.

- Operational Excellence: Oversee and optimise manufacturing operations, ensuring quality and production targets are met.
- Team Leadership: Lead the development of the onsite sodium cyanide teams of 60+ local employees, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to environmental, health, and safety regulations.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive initiatives for operational efficiency and sustainability.
- Safety Leadership: Proven ability to prioritise and champion a safety culture, adhering to protocols and standards.
- Operational Excellence: Strong background in managing manufacturing, process optimisation, and meeting production goals.
- Leadership and Team Management: 7+ years of progressive operational leadership experience in manufacturing, ideally within chemical manufacturing.
- Regulatory Compliance: Profound knowledge of relevant environmental, health, and safety regulations, with a track record of ensuring compliance.
- Financial Acumen: Proficiency in budget management, cost control, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Continuous Improvement: Demonstrated experience driving operational efficiency through continuous improvement initiatives.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Strong interpersonal and communication skills for building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to contribute to the long-term strategic plan and execute it effectively.
- Community Engagement & Sustainability: Proficient in community engagement and corporate social responsibility, dedicated to integrating sustainability principles into operations.
- Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering: Chemical, Chemistry, Mechanical, Electrical or a related field.
