How will I help?
You will join the 2nd Line Divisional, Financial Markets and Treasury Risk team (within Westpac Institutional Bank (WIB) and Treasury Risk) as a Senior Manager. Reporting into the Executive Manager, WIB and Treasury Risk, you will play a key role in the responsibility of overseeing the risk profiles of the business and providing risk advice to assist management to effectively manage their risks. This will include support delivering the annual assurance plan approved by the WIB and Treasury Chief Risk Officer (CRO). The plan must comply with Group Assurance Standards agreed with the Chief Risk Officer.
Accountabilities will include:
- Planning Assurance reviews in line with Assurance coverage standards to assess effectiveness of the organisation's risk practices.
- Leading and executing the completion of reviews in line with Assurance coverage standards to assess adequacy, effectiveness and compliance with the risk requirements and standards.
- Reporting on key insights and recommendations related to critical risks or material obligations to improve risk management and capability across the organisation.

What do I need?
You will bring 7-10 years of experience across audit or assurance in a related discipline with demonstrated experience in Financial Markets and Treasury critical. You will demonstrate excellent verbal, written and presentation skills, with a track record of providing superior documentation, including the ability to develop and follow detailed processes and procedures management frameworks. You will understand the regulatory environment with the ability to review and summarise complex information, and ability manage confidential information in an appropriate manner. With an outcome's focus, you will enjoy creating trusted relationships, and working with stakeholders to provide advice, solutions and guidance through periods of change.
