Join TAL as a Senior Manager, Risk & Compliance. Reporting to the Head of Governance and Risk, this is a newly created role within our Group Life and Retirement business unit. While leading a small team, you will work closely with other Line 1 and Line 2 Risk teams across the business to develop and embed a risk culture.
This is a permanent role, working flexibly from our Sydney or Melbourne office.
In this role you will:
- Deliver timely Risk Management and/or Compliance analysis and advice to stakeholders across the Group Life and Retirement business unit to enable the business to be commercially successful and compliant with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Advise the business on identifying, classifying, measuring, and monitoring their risks/compliance requirements and issues.
- Assisting Group Life and Retirement stakeholders in identifying potential risk and compliance issues associated with their day-to-day business goals.
- Coordinate the formulation of remediation strategies and implementation plans for key corrective actions and preventative controls, including obtaining relevant approvals.
- Supporting with key reporting requirements, providing insights on operational risk matters such as incident root-causes.
- Develop a roadmap of risk and compliance activities and agree on priorities with senior stakeholders.
- Keep up to date on key changes to compliance regulations & risk management policy, for example obligations and requirements under CPS230 and FAR and support the Head of Governance & Risk in rolling out requirements.
- Lead and contribute to the technical development of the team by coaching and mentoring.
- Support the management of Risk Management/Compliance projects to improve service provision to the business.
