All about the role:

The Grocery and Retail verticals are high-priority sectors with significant expansion plans on Menulog. The purpose of this role is to drive the marketing expansion of Menulog's business in various Grocery and Retail segments across Australia and New Zealand.

Reporting to the Head of Partner Marketing, this role will develop & lead the marketing strategy, initiatives and campaigns for some of Australia and New Zealand’s favourite Grocery and Retail brands. 

Working collaboratively with these Grocery and Retail brands, you’ll strategically unlock and create joint marketing plans that drive awareness and orders. You'll be working closely with cross-channel and cross-functional teams - managing and delivering campaigns end-to-end for these strategic partnerships. 

As part of a rapidly growing area of the business, we expect you to get stuck in and be comfortable working on long term strategy, whilst also executing campaigns. Alongside owning and driving forward key initiatives with our wider marketing and commercial team.

In this role, we're counting on you to:

Develop & lead the Marketing plans for the Grocery and Retail channel 

  • Responsible for implementing Menulog’s marketing strategy for the Grocery and Retail channel. 
  • Develop and implement effective joint marketing plans with Grocery and Retail partners. 
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key marketing decision makers across the Grocery and retail partners. 
  • Plan, execute and evaluate marketing campaigns. 
  • Identify and execute new opportunities for campaigns and seasonal events, working with the broader marketing team to develop grocery campaigns across channels. 
  • Work as a cross-functional Partner Marketing team to develop marketing programmes that deliver on our Partner value proposition. 

Grocery Promotional & Value Strategy

  • Develop a promotional and value framework for Grocery and Retail using Menulog’s existing value strategy. 
  • Work with partners to unlock grocery offers and value-add moments.  
  • Work with the global product and tech teams to work on a prioritised pipeline of developments to unlock new in-app functionality to drive grocery. 

FMCG Partnerships

  • Develop and implement marketing plans with existing FMCG partners. 
  • Strengthening and building new relationships with FMCG partnerships to unlock marketing initiatives and drive growth opportunities. 
  • Work closely with the Commercial Growth team to help monetise our owned channels and marketing campaigns through FMCG partnerships. 

Signage & Branding

  • Develop and implement the Grocery and Retail signage strategy. 
  • Manage partnership branding initiatives and opportunities.
  • Working closely with Last Mile Marketing Manager, scope new equipment for drive/riders couriers to help support orders for Grocery and Retail partners. 

Can you deliver…

Ready to take the lead? Here is what we need from you:

  • At least 5+ years of experience as a Marketing Manager level or above. 
  • A track record of successfully working with tier one retailers with retail on-demand experience as a bonus. 
  • Proven marketing or agency experience running successful insight led marketing campaigns with broad knowledge across the full marketing mix of channels.
  • Exceptional collaboration and relationship building skills — with the ability to develop strong working relationships across stakeholders both inside and outside Menulog. 
  • Ability to manage multiple levels of stakeholders and adapt your communication style accordingly to get the best out of each stakeholder. 
  • Key internal stakeholders include: Senior Directors, Heads of Marketing, Marketing Channel Managers, Head of Grocery & Retail, Financial Controller, Operations Managers, Delivery Managers, Analysts and more. Key external stakeholders include: Grocery & Retail Marketing Teams, Operations Managers and more. 
  • An ability to juggle multiple priorities and experience in working with multiple stakeholders across different levels and different areas of the business. 
  • Experience in creating compelling multi-channel campaigns and building creative campaigns.
  • Detail oriented. Skilled at planning, organising, prioritising and delivering simultaneous projects.
  • Commercially focused with an ability to evaluate data and make data-led decisions to drive KPIs for the brands.
  • Act like a challenger- a self-starter attitude that's comfortable with constant change and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Making things happen - delivering results quickly and efficiently. Ability to roll up your sleeves and get stuck into the details.
  • A strong work ethic and a proactive positive attitude.
