How will I help?
The Core Platform Build team is accountable for the design, development, and delivery of the Strategic Business Lending Origination Platform to replace legacy Business Lending origination systems. It aims to fully reimagine and transform the current customer, banker and broker experience as relates to lending origination

Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Lead the design and implementation of communication strategies and activities for the Business Lending Core Platform Build project.
- Ensuring that these are designed to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels in the vision, strategy and benefits of this transformation.
- Designed to provide specialist support for implementing communication activity with a particular focus on Managing Directors and their LTs (Line of Business, Distribution, Credit and Operations), ELT and up to CEO/CFO level.
What do I need?
- Communication experience in public relations consultancy or in-house positions. Worked successfully within large organisations - ideally 5+ years' experience.
- Superior written and verbal communication ability.
- Strategic thinking, flexibility, ability to respond to short deadlines, operates independently and effectively in an unstructured work environment.
- Ability to build and manage strong relationships with senior executives and a range of stakeholders and business partners.
- Proactive team player with proven ability to collaborate with others to achieve goals.
- Strong creativity and ability to develop communications and events that engage employees.
- Tertiary degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing or Digital Media.
- Good level of commercial awareness and understanding of Westpac Group's business strategy.
- Experience in all aspects of corporate communications - issues and crisis management, media, stakeholder engagement, reputation management.
