Our client is looking to add an excellent Mechanical Design Engineer to their team in Sydney. This role, reporting to the Mechanical Engineering Manager, is responsible for the design phase of the project and will see you designing bespoke automation systems and elements from a concept that make up the overall system. You will have experience with the full design flow and the ability to deliver full workshop ready and standard drawings; You must therefore be detailed and organised as you will be working on several projects at any one time. You will:
- Bespoke / Machine Design
- Undertake new product research
- Support and mentor junior team members
- Create BOM
- Check and manage the quality of work in progress
- Solid design experience in a production | manufacturing environment
- 2D | 3D Modelling experience Highly regarded
- Use of SolidWorks essential / Inventor
- Design experience in automation and robotic solutions - FMCG
- Excellent communication skills – written and verbal essential
- Positive and autonomous nature
