Multidisciplinary engineering group, known for their innovative design, production, and project delivery, servicing the logistics, manufacturing, FMCG, Mining, and Packaging industries, leading the way in Robotic Automation and System Integration.
They have multiple sites nationwide and are looking to expand their Engineering Team with an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer, a solution-focused, creative Design Engineer looking to take the next step in their career.
Within this position, you will be responsible for producing Mechanical Designs, robotic solutions, mechanisms, and equipment using 3D CAD software. Those with experience in custom-built machinery, capital equipment conveyors, material handling production lines, packaging, and robotic projects will be favoured.
The Job:
- Engineering, re-engineering, design, prototyping, fully automated packaging, palletising, and material handling production lines.
- Design of belts, rollers, cooling conveyor systems, robotic cells, linear motion technology equipment.
- Design and troubleshooting of pneumatic, sensor, hydraulic, and automation equipment.
- Coordinating national engineering assignments, with key stakeholder management, driving continuous improvement and product development.
- You will identify opportunities and determine new and more effective ways to make the engineering design and R&D activities more efficient.
- Work within a Systems Engineering and Quality Assurance framework.
- Planning, scheduling, scope clarification, and all aspects of functional design.
- Effective Project Management to ensure on-time delivery of projects utilising MS Project and in-house ERP / MRP systems.
- Continuous and Process Improvement.
- Lead design draftsman, graduate engineers, and engineers within the scope of assigned projects.
- Produce associated project documentation utilising Microsoft Office applications.
What is required:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 5 to 10 years of Design experience in factory automation, and production automation.
- Experienced in Designing Mechanical, and Automated equipment and parts.
- Worked to ISO 9001 standards.
- Knowledge of 3D CAD.
- Strong communicator.
