We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer with Project Management experience to deliver avant-garde solutions and systems aimed at revolutionising efficiency, safety, and environmental sustainability in the extractive industries.
As the successful candidate, you will spearhead the conception, design, and execution of pioneering projects. This role requires a blend of technical mastery and project management acumen to deliver high-quality and cost-efficient solutions tailored to the unique demands of the quarry and mining sectors.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Spearhead project planning, scheduling, and budgeting, serving as the main liaison with clients and leading a diverse team of professionals to exceed project expectations.
- Oversee risk management in engineering designs, crafting solutions that meet client needs while adhering to safety, regulatory, and environmental standards.
- Utilise your expertise to accurately conceptualise and estimate project costs based on client specifications or requirements.
- Champion the integration of cutting-edge technologies and methodologies to enhance solution efficacy and maintain competitive advantage.
- Ensure all designs and projects comply with contractual, regulatory, and quality benchmarks.
- Work closely with both internal teams and external partners to guarantee seamless project execution and fulfilment of client expectations.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering
- Demonstrable expertise in both Design Engineering and project management, preferably in quarry and mining equipment/systems.
- Comprehensive understanding of industry-specific operations, equipment, processes, and safety standards.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and team management capabilities.
- A track record of problem-solving and innovation.
- Experience in fabrication workshop operations is desirable.
