Carnac is recruiting for a Senior Mechanical Engineer who wants the opportunity to showcase their professionalism and engineering ability across a range of heavy mineral and chemical processing projects, for Brownfield and Greenfield refinery clients.
This is a permanent, full-time role based at our Perth head office in Myaree, 20 minutes south of the CBD, with ample parking, accessible by bus, and end-of-trip facilities.
Reporting to the lead Mechanical Engineer, responsibilities will include:
- Oversee the design of process plant areas.
- Supervise design and engineering project teams.
- Review and approve Mechanical Engineering deliverables.
- Assist with developing operational and maintenance documentation.
- Facilitate the technical handover of the equipment at the end of each installation.
- Liaise with engineering service providers, contractors, and vendors to facilitate procurement and commissioning.
Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering recognised by the Institute of Engineers (Australia).
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience as a Mechanical Engineer.
- Design experience with wet processing equipment and facilities, particularly pumping and piping, is an advantage.
- Demonstrated leadership capability.
