We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to contribute to our clients projects focused on the development and testing of green technologies to power mining fleet and rail locomotives. This role equires Ammonia-Fuelled Engine conversion experience.
- Development of engine & NH3-Cracker management systems & units
- Conversion of a diesel engine to NH3-H2 Test Engine.
- Adaptation of test bench & running the NH3-H2 Test Engine full-load bench tests
- Modelling of Stage 3 NH3-H2 Test Engine emissions
- Development of Exhaust Gas Aftertreatment System (EGAS)
- Safety requirements and concept designs for NH3 fueling infrastructure.
- Australian full working rights.
- Engineering or science degree.
- Ammonia-Fuelled Engine conversion experience
- High attention to engineering details.
- Expertise in numerical analysis and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Flexibility to travel to site when required.
- Solid understanding of engineering design tools (programming tools, CAD, CAE, etc.).
- Proven ability to work with diverse stakeholders and in multidisciplinary teams.
- High commitment to safety.
- Experience with ERP work management.
- Excellent interpersonal awareness with the ability to work well in a team.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and results-driven with a drive for excellence.
- Skilled in rapid problem-solving and clear decision-making.
- Experience in preparing detailed scopes of work, participating in coordinating purchasing processes, and managing contractors.
- Ability to work across multiple fronts in a high-pressure environment.
- 12 month contract with the view to extend.
- Perth based (Hazelmere & Redcliff)
