The Opportunity:
Techforce have partnered with a world-wide multi-disciplinary Asset Management company who are seeking an Experienced Estimator for an immediate start. The key responsibilities of the role consist of: Reviewing and interpreting tender documentation, engaging with key stakeholders, sub-contractors and Senior Management as well as assisting in the submission of tenders in collaboration with the estimating team. The ideal candidate should have a strong willingness to learn, excellent numerical skills, and exceptional attention to detail. Ideally you will have exposure to the Mechanical sector with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in an estimating position.
Job Responsibilities:
- Analyse project requirements, blueprints, and specifications to determine material, labour, and equipment costs.
- Gather and analyse data from various sources to support the estimation process.
- Detailed and accurate quantity take-offs
- Support bid preparation by organizing cost data and creating breakdowns.
- Conduct cost analysis, risk identification and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors for quotes and timely delivery.
- Maintain accurate records and prepare reports summarising estimation findings.
- Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to exchange information and address concerns.
To be considered you must have:
- 3-5 years’ experience in Estimating, Quoting and Tendering, in the Mechanical and Heavy Metals industries.
- Knowledge of project management or estimation software.
- Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Estimating or Quantity Surveying.
- Proven mechanical trade background.
