The Role

We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Estimator to join our WA Projects team completing project estimation works as required, and preparation of various quotations and submission of offers for installation projects throughout the company’s WA branch operations. 

You will also provide technical advice to clients and team members on air conditioning plant and control systems, and assist with the responsibilities for the preparation of estimates, build strong client relationships based on trust and respect, and work and lead other Estimator(s), while collaborating with Project Managers, and national projects team in all aspects, from handover to completion of projects.

Key Competencies

The successful candidate will possess the following:

• Strong understanding and experiences in estimating retro fit HVAC upgrades and fit out.
• Relevant trade qualification, Mechanical Engineering desirable not essential
• Strong team ethic and willingness to work as part of a team
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and mechanical drawings.
• Clear verbal and written communication; Word processing and spreadsheet applications.
• Basics of business finance.
• Strong leadership skills; Well-developed interpersonal skills.
• Driving licence / No criminal record
• Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Excel and office-based databases 
• Be willing to undergo a national police background check.
