Key Selection Criteria:

• Demonstrated experience in issues management and crisis communications including developing and managing all crisis/outrage communication plans and protocols.
• Experience working within a modern news media business or equivalent role as a media officer within government or the private sector.
• Demonstrated ability to write high quality media responses in time pressured situations and expert knowledge of social media platforms and applications to monitor issues affecting the resources sector in South Australia.
• Demonstrated strong communication and interpersonal skills and proven ability to work across agencies and external stakeholders to appropriately manage media responses and expectations.

Desirable Qualifications:

• Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Communications, Journalism or equivalent.

Remuneration:
ASO6 $97,022 - $102,626 per annum
Full-time role, working 37.5 hours per week
Special Conditions:

• This is a term vacancy until October 2025.
