ABOUT THE ROLE
You will be responsible for developing and implementing state-based media, strategic communications, and community engagement programs. This includes providing communications advice and support to the department staff and fostering key relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
⦁ Develop, implement, and evaluate communication strategies and activities.
⦁ Provide expert media and public relations advice to support department.
⦁ Coordinate marketing opportunities to raise awareness and increase consumer uptake of services
⦁ Support risk management by identifying and addressing potential reputational risks.
⦁ Utilize communications to facilitate effective engagement of staff, consumers, and stakeholders.
ABOUT YOU
⦁ Proven experience in public relations, developing and implementing communication strategies, government sector would be desireable.
⦁ Strong understanding of media relations and public relations principles.
⦁ Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
⦁ Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
⦁ Knowledge of SA Government communications policies and procedures is desirable.
The successful candidate must have a current police clearence or willing to obtain one.
