About The Role
The Senior Mine Rehabilitation Advisor role will offer comprehensive assistance to regional teams in managing rehabilitation processes, while also supporting site management on implementing rehabilitation best practice, continuous improvement initiatives and governance requirements.
Additionally, within the framework of the Thiess Rehabilitation Business, efforts will be directed towards contributing to the execution of the Thiess Rehabilitation Business Plan, identifying potential rehabilitation prospects in both Australia and North America, and actively engaging in the pursuit of new rehabilitation opportunities and tenders.
In addition to this, you will:
- Provide technical advice for rehabilitation projects and market analysis of target growth regions.
- Assist in developing the rehabilitation pipeline and maintaining opportunities in Salesforce.
- Lead the development of unsolicited rehabilitation proposals.
- Support rehabilitation tenders and new work opportunities.
- Assist in developing and executing the Thiess Rehabilitation strategy and action plan.
- Incorporate innovation and sustainable solutions into projects.
- Capture knowledge from key projects for continuous improvement.
About You
With a degree in Environmental Management/Science/Engineering or equivalent, the ideal candidate for this position brings a solid educational foundation to the table. Coupled with experience in mine site rehabilitation, you will possess a nuanced understanding of environmental and rehabilitation challenges in operational contexts.
Your skill set is marked by excellent written and oral communication abilities, crucial for effective interaction within multidisciplinary teams. Moreover, your capacity to influence at a high level is evident, enhancing your ability to drive impactful environmental initiatives. Familiarity with ISO 14001 environmental management systems underscores your commitment to industry best practices, while your profound grasp of environmental and rehabilitation legislation ensures compliance and excellence in execution.
Furthermore, your expertise in mine site environmental issues equips you to navigate complex challenges adeptly. Additionally, your experience in contracts management further enhances your suitability for this role, demonstrating proficiency in overseeing critical project aspects.
