The Role
The Senior Motor Product Analyst will be responsible for supporting the identification, design, development and implementation of new and innovative Motor products, options and benefits. You will also assist with the identification and analysis of new and improvement opportunities within the Motor portofilio and aswell as undertaking market analysis.
This is a fantastic opportunity for professionals wanting to take the next step in their career! This is a full-time, 6-month fixed-term position that can be based at our Toowong, North Lakes or Kawana office.
Accountabilities
- Provide support in the monitoring and analysis of Australian and overseas insurance markets and trends.
- Assist in the identification of opportunities for profitable growth in the Australian Motor insurance market.
- Identify recommendations for improvements to existing products and development of new products and/or options to enhance the value proposition for customers, selling Partners and more generally A&G as a whole.
- Support in the design and development of approved new and innovative Motor products, options and benefits as well as enhancements to the existing product suite.
- Provide support in monitoring and reporting on projects and the performance of new products.
- Assist with the set-up, launch and online management of White Label Partner products.
- Perform user acceptance testing.
- Compile reports and analyse trends in the Motor insurance portfolio and support continuous improvements in data quality and presentation of results;
- Engage stakeholders to drive measurable commercial outcomes for the business.
Knowledge and Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years General Insurance (short-tail) product/ portfolio management, underwriting and/or claim experience; exposure to product development and portfolio management would be highly regarded.
- Sound understanding of short-tail insurance product(s), underwriting and rating methods, systems and procedures – including drivers and levers of profitable growth.
- Knowledge of relevant regulatory regimes, compliance and insurance legislation.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal – ability to communicate across all levels of the organisation.
- Sound numerical and analytical skills as well as attention to detail.
- Ability to work autonomously while maintaining focus.
- Experience in managing and completing user acceptance testing.
- Working knowledge of common application software, e.g. MS Office suite; experience with SQL/ SAS would be advantageous.
- Ability to respond rapidly and positively to change and to work under pressure to deliver outcomes with competing priorities.
