Role:
As a Network Engineer, your responsibilities will include designing, implementing, and supporting networking infrastructure, with a focus on low-latency connectivity to trading venues. You'll collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners to deliver top-tier infrastructure solutions.
Requirements:
- Designing, implementing, and supporting networking infrastructure, emphasizing low-latency networking, routing protocols, QoS, and security platforms.
- Monitoring and maintaining network functionality, implementing corrective measures and structural maintenance as needed.
- Contributing to infrastructure improvement through automation efforts, including scripting in languages like Bash and Python.
- Creating and managing documentation detailing network components and relevant procedures.
- Overseeing IT security platforms, including firewalls, SSL gateways, VPNs, and security policies.
- Working flexible hours to ensure the uptime of the trading environment, including occasional off-hours work.
- Collaborating with external vendors, exchanges, and providers to explore new technology solutions and troubleshoot issues.
Experience:
- Seasoned Network Engineer sought with a passion for all facets of networking, adept at designing, implementing, and supporting high-performance networks.
- 7+ years of experience, demonstrating advanced engineering skills and a penchant for innovative solutions beyond standard networking practices.
- Thrives in collaborative settings, skilled at working with cross-functional teams, and adept at motivating and supporting colleagues to achieve excellence.
- Must exhibit clear and effective communication skills, capable of articulating technical concepts and challenges to both technical and non-technical stakeholders with clarity and precision.
