About the role:

We are looking for a Senior Network Engineer who will be responsible for designing, building and maintaining the computer networks that underpin CDC’s operational technology. These networks include but are not limited to intranet, extranet, local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN).

Key responsibilities include:

• Design and implement Aruba, Palo Alto, Cisco and Dell Networking solutions

• Take ownership of technical issues relating to CDC networks

• Provide expert advice to internal stakeholders on matters relating to CDC networks and network solutions

• Maintain and enhance monitoring and configuration tools (PRTG, Zabbix)

• Participate in BAU incident resolution and maintenance activities

• L2/L3 Switching for Cisco IOS/NX-OS, Dell FTOS, PAN-OS, JunOS, BigSwitch SDN

• Detailed understanding of IP protocols and principals including:

- Routing Protocols (OSPF & BGP)

- VPN Technologies (SSL, IPSec, MPLS)

- VLAN / VXLAN

- VRRP and HSRP Protocols

• Experience with the management of Firewalls, IDS/IPS, HTTP/S Proxies

• Enterprise Wireless Networks (Aruba, Sophos, Cambium Networks)

• Optical Networking (ADVA, Cisco) – Desirable

• Comply with CDC Information Security Policy

• Strong communication skills both verbal and written

• Strong interpersonal skills, ability to build and maintain relationships

• Participating in Vendor management activities and procurement activities

• Maintain all necessary registers, contractual documentation and templates

• Embrace and model CDC’s DNA
