What you'll be doing

• This position is responsible for the provision of high quality client centred, evidence based Occupational Therapy services to clients of WSLHD, and to provide clinical supervision as directed.  
• This position specifically will provide clinical services to Blacktown & Mount Druitt Hospitals.
• Provide onsite or remote supervision of staff as required as a part of a Senior Occupational Therapy Team.

Essential Requirements

• Qualification: Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy
• Registration: AHPRA Occupational Therapist – general registration

Selection Criteria

1. Extensive years of clinical experience in Occupational Therapy in an acute care setting with demonstrated experience to design, implement and evaluate intervention programs
2. Ability to work both independently with minimum direct clinical supervision and as a member of a multidisciplinary team including demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills
3. Demonstrated effective time management and organizational skills
4. Current driver’s license
5. Experience in supervision of professional staff and/or senior students
6. Commitment to ongoing education / professional development
7. Commitment to and experience in Quality Improvement
8. Ability to work Saturday or Sunday as required on site or provide distant supervision of Occupational Therapists working on a weekend as part of a senior OT roster
