- Identify non-compliance with planning legislation and regulations.
- Apply technical knowledge to make informed decisions on inspections and penalties.
- Conduct investigations, gather evidence, and enforce regulations promptly.
- Provide transparent and consistent advice, demonstrating integrity and judgment.
- Base recommendations on risk assessment and compliance strategies.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including residents and industry professionals.
- Maintain clear and factual records for legal compliance.
- Respond to community complaints about non-compliant activities.
- Foster positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Contribute to organizational excellence by sharing process improvements.

- Undertake additional duties as directed within the scope of skills and training.
- Current C Class Drivers Licence
- Previous relevant experience is necessary
- Diploma or similar qualification in Local Government investigations and/or planning is highly regarded
- Ability to assist with some physical tasks
