The Role
The Senior Officer Payroll and Reporting administers the ACECQA Human Resource Information System (HRIS-ichris), payroll and related HR data and reporting. The Senior Officer Payroll and Reporting is the first point of contact for advice and queries relating to pay and conditions.
This role is full time and ongoing at ACECQA Band 5 ($94,314 to $118,405).
About You
To be successful in this role you will need:
Essential
- Demonstrated experience in payroll processing, reporting and workforce data analytics, including an applied understanding of industrial relations, taxation, workers compensation, superannuation and other relevant legislation.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret Enterprise Agreements, policies and procedures and offer accurate advice to internal and external stakeholders, including employees.
- High-level analytical skills including strong attention to detail and accuracy, combined with a well-developed abstract thinking and numerical ability.
- Advanced user of business and human resources tools and technologies, including ichris or Chris 21 HRIS or another human resource system as well as Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel.
- Highly organised with the ability to prioritise multiple competing tasks, remain focussed on outcomes, demonstrate initiative, and work autonomously with limited guidance.
- Well-developed communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills for liaising with staff, creditors, vendors and other external bodies.
Desirable
- Knowledge and understanding of public sector payroll and accounting practices.
- Experience administering an ichris or Chris21 HRIS.
