YOUR ROLE
As the Senior Operations Manager for one of our multi-customer warehouses at the Truganina VIC campus, you'll manage the organic and future growth of our e-commerce business, ensuring we have a highly capable team, exceptional customer relationships, and strong commercial and safety results, amongst other things.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
Specifically, you will:
- Manage the day-to-day operations associated with a warehouse environment
- Forecasts requirements, manage profit/loss, schedule expenditure, analyse variances and initiate corrective actions to meet financial and operational objectives
- Develop and maintain an engaged team and culture that centres on safety, service and operational excellence
- Coach, develop and effectively manage team performance
- Liaise with key customers around KPI reviews, audits and day-to-day account / relationship management
- Work to objectives around safety and environment, warehouse KPIs, Kaizen, LEAN, service delivery and related metrics.
Our ideal candidate has proven experience managing 3PL warehouse operations (or in a comparable in-sourced logistics setting) and:
- Capability and experience in coaching, developing and engaging individuals and teams
- Sound commercial and financial acumen and analytical skills
- Experience and/or knowledge of enterprise agreements, labour planning and/or industrial relations
- Excellent communication, stakeholder /customer management and planning skills
- Possesses effective financial, analytical and critical reasoning
- Continuous improvement mindset and understanding of foundational / advanced tools (KAIZEN, LEAN, 5S, etc.)
