Senior OT infrastructure specialist – Port Mac or remote – 12-month contract - $700- $800 + super per day

This Government Organisation has an exciting Senior Application Support Specialist role located in Por Macquarie; however, the position can be remote. They are offering the successful candidate a full-time 12-month contract position with the potential to extend or become permanent. The role is an exciting opportunity for someone who is highly experienced with the application ‘Operational Technology and happy to take leadership with the implementation, support, and training. If you have a strong background in application support and at least 2 years’ experience supporting operational technology with an enthusiastic approach to your career, then this could potentially be the role for you. 

Your new role 

As s senior application specialist, you will be able to provide professional support and advice relating to operational technology products. You will have a strong background supporting, maintaining, and training operational technology products and be able to provide reliable, secure, and professional advice. You will be able to work on projects and provide BAU support. You will have exposure with system upgrades and involvement in testing and integrating systems. You will have some knowledge of Linux, pearl, and BASH scripting.

You will have come from a leadership background and be able to be accountable for the delivering, support, and lifecycle management of applications for Operational Technology and System Control. 

 What you'll need to succeed 

• At least 5 years’ experience as an Application Support Officer 
• At least 3 years in a Senior Application Support role 
• At least 2 years’ experience working with Operational Technology (OT)
• Strong infrastructure experience (Exposure to system upgrades - involvement in testing and integrating systems)
• Strong mobile app support experience (iPad and iPhone)
• Strong leadership skills 
• Strong vendor management skills
• Strong Linux, Pearl, and BASH scripting experience 
• Be able to support, maintain and provide training for OT 
• Strong knowledge of Systems Control Services
• Fantastic communication, written and verbal as you will be dealing with big clients 
• Be able to provide advice relating to OT 
• They want someone curious and someone that will ask questions.
