We are seeking an experienced Senior Payroll Officer that has a high degree of attention to detail and possess a can do attitude

TassieCare have a complex and fast-paced operating environment, which means that there is never a dull day and always something new to learn.

As a Payroll Officer you will work in the administration of conditions of service and entitlements for TassieCare employees including processing of pay, leave and superannuation. 

This role supports the delivery of payroll services to TassieCare by processing payroll transactions, providing advice on pay related matters and monitoring areas of risk.

Payroll Officer is responsible for:

• Manage end-to-end payroll processes forTassieCare.
• Ensure accuracy and compliance with employment conditions and awards.
• Process employee changes promptly and efficiently.
• Oversee payroll deductions, superannuation, and tax-related tasks.
• Handle month and year-end activities, including reconciliation with the General Ledger.
• Administer Workers Compensation documentation and liaise with insurers.
• Provide timely and organized reporting to HR management.
• Adaptability and efficiency are essential for success in this dynamic role.
• Calculating entitlements for staff, including commencements and cessations.
• Undertaking general administrative duties associated with the provision of payroll and financial services to the company.
• Working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Participating as a constructive team member to deliver ongoing improvements, quality of service and professional practices and standard.
• Obtaining subject matter expertise through ongoing development and learning opportunities.
• Contributing to and implement improved operational practices, procedures and guidelines.

Essential Requirements:

• You must be an Australian Citizen.
• Possess a WWVP Card and National Police check
• Contemporary knowledge and experience in Payroll or a Finance related role.
• Previous experience in a similar role
• High understanding of the SCHADS award is an advantage but not essential
