ABOUT THE ROLE

Senior Payroll Officers work in a dynamic environment that offers lots of opportunities for variety and change.

The Department has over 7000 employees covered by approximately 20 industrial awards and agreements, plus others covered by special administrative arrangements, so there is always something new to learn.

Senior Payroll Officers process pay and leave entitlements, check and review employee-initiated transactions, provide timely advice to business areas, negotiate repayment of overpayments, resolve issues from clients, and more.

ELIGIBILITY

To be eligible for a permanent appointment to the Western Australian public sector it is essential that you are an Australian citizen or have permanent residency status in Australia. To be eligible for a fixed term appointment you must have documentary evidence of your entitlement to live and work in Australia for the duration of the contract.
