Our mission is to apply innovation and creative thinking to deliver the public services of the future and improve outcomes for citizens.As a Senior Payroll Officer at Civica UK Ltd, you will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end payroll process and ensuring the accurate and timely payment of salaries to our employees. This is a 6-month contract position, offering an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of a global organisation.Your responsibilities will include:
- Processing payroll for a large number of employees, ensuring accurate calculation of salaries, tax, and other deductions
- Maintaining employee payroll records and resolving any issues or discrepancies
- Preparing payroll reports and assisting with payroll-related audits
- Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, company policies, and contractual obligations
- Liaising with internal stakeholders and external providers to address payroll-related queries and issues
- Continuously improving payroll processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy
- Prior experience in a Senior Payroll role, ideally within a large organisation
- Strong knowledge of payroll processes, tax regulations, and relevant legislation
- Proficiency in payroll software and advanced Excel skills
- Attention to detail and the ability to work with a high degree of accuracy
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Problem-solving abilities and the ability to work well under pressure
- Experience in ADP Software
- Prior experience in a Senior Payroll role
- Strong knowledge of payroll processes, tax regulations, and relevant legislation
- Proficiency in payroll software and advanced Excel skills
