As a Payroll Tax and Superannuation Officer, your primary duties involve overseeing and ensuring adherence to payroll tax regulations and superannuation processes. Your role encompasses accurate calculation, thorough reporting, and timely remittance of payroll taxes and superannuation contributions. Furthermore, you will stay abreast of legislative changes, collaborate effectively with relevant stakeholders, and provide expertise in these vital areas.
Key Accountabilities
- Precisely calculate, report, and submit accurate payroll tax payments to the relevant authorities.
- Stay updated on changes in payroll tax regulations to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Prepare and submit periodic payroll tax returns promptly.
- Administer employee superannuation contributions, ensuring precise calculations and timely payments.
- Collaborate with superannuation funds, resolve issues, and stay informed about industry changes.
- Ensure strict adherence to regulatory requirements for all payroll tax, superannuation, Centrelink, and other disbursement activities.
- Maintain precise records of payroll tax and superannuation transactions.
- Collaborate with government agencies, tax authorities, and superannuation funds through effective communication and coordination.
- Hold a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field.
- Proven experience in end-to-end payroll processing, preferably in a senior or analyst role.
- Experience in the administration of payroll tax and superannuation.
- Possess a thorough understanding of relevant tax laws, regulations, and superannuation policies.
- Exhibit strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiently use payroll software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Communicate effectively with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Maintain a high level of attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
