About your new job
Working in a busy environment with a supportive culture the role would suit a highly experienced Payroll Officer.
- Managing weekly and monthly payrolls for approximately 600 employees
- Process staff commissions and bonuses
- Handling and resolving payroll queries and providing advice
- Processing payroll adjustments – ad-hoc manual payments
- Setting up new starters and ensuring the accuracy of information
- Process termination payments in accordance with the required legislation
- Reconcile worker's compensation and prepare wage estimates
- Month-end reporting and prepare reports for finance & HR
- Complete and process annual PAYG summaries
- Assist with ongoing projects in relation to system/process/ procedure improvement as required.
- Ad-hoc tasks as required
About You
To be successful in this position you will ideally have exposure in the following:
- A proven track record in the area of payroll management – ideally within a full function/ end to end or a stand-alone capacity
- Knowledge and understanding of Australian employment law and interpreting Awards & EBAs
- Previous experience in high-volume payroll processing
- Exposure to large payroll systems – ideally Micropay
- Strong communication skills and the ability to partner with relevant departments
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
