This pivotal position offers the opportunity to lead end-to-end payroll functions within a dynamic team environment, supporting our operations during a strategic restructuring phase. Role Overview: Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for managing payroll operations across multiple business groups, ensuring accuracy, compliance with legislative requirements, and fostering a high standard of customer service. Your role will contribute directly to maintaining efficient payroll processes amidst ongoing ERP system enhancements. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform weekly, fortnightly, and monthly payroll processing, from opening payroll to third-party payments.
- Manage employee lifecycle data including new starters, personal details updates, leave entries, and terminations.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.
- Coordinate payroll tax, superannuation, workers compensation returns, and other statutory obligations.
- Collaborate with HR and finance teams on reporting and data management.
- Contribute to payroll-related audits and external reporting requirements.
- Support ad-hoc projects aimed at process improvement and ERP system enhancement.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in end-to-end payroll management.
- SAP experience is advantageous.
- Relevant mining/resources payroll industry Award knowledge
- Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, industrial instruments, and taxation.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.
- Excellent communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
- High level of attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
