The opportunity:

The Senior Performance Marketing Manager is a critical role to help lead AIA's direct-to-consumer growth aspirations. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the marketing function for AIA's direct-to-customer propositions across health insurance, life insurance and financial advice. You will establish your team as a Centre of Excellence for designing and executing marketing strategies and campaigns that support lead generation and new business growth through business-to-consumer activity and business-to-business-to-consumer partnerships.

Your main responsibility will be achieving impression, traffic, and lead targets to support sales outcomes across these products/services and across these partnerships within set marketing investment efficiency guard rails. This is a high-profile role, which will be working closely with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders across the AIA business.

To do this successfully you will:

• Lead the Performance Marketing team as a Centre of Excellence to achieve lead generation and new business targets within marketing investment efficiency guard rails.
• Overall responsibility for generating marketing outcomes for direct propositions (across health insurance, life insurance and financial advice) through business-to-consumer activity and business-to-business-to-consumer partnerships.
• Development and delivery of an overarching marketing strategy and campaign plan for direct propositions that is cohesive across health insurance, life insurance and financial advice, including cross/up-sell opportunities.
• Oversee marketing campaigns – across digital media, above-the-line media, partner-owned assets, etc. – from development through to implementation and post-implementation review.
• Work closely with AIA Digital teams to ensure an optimal digital shop-front experience for AIA, with a focus on optimisations that drive improved marketing funnel conversion (incl. SEO, Customer Data Platform integrations, etc).
• Develop and support a high-performing team by establishing common goals, clear roles and responsibilities, effective processes, strong relationships, and effective communication.
• Use customer insight, business analysis and competitive landscape monitoring to inform strategy and proposition development, investment placement, campaign design, and messaging.
• Establish strong working relationships with enterprise leaders and provide Brand and Marketing subject matter expertise support to relevant business functions.
• Develop and track expense budgets against plan and ensuring budget expectations are achieved and exceeded to ensure cost-per-lead and cost-per-acquisition is minimised.

Successful applications will demonstrate:

• Extensive direct marketing and digital experience, preferably with a background in insurance or financial services or related industries
• Tertiary qualification or equivalent in a Business, Marketing, or related discipline
• Proven experience leading digital and ATL campaign execution and evaluation
• Experience in taking health propositions to market
• Demonstrated experience leading in complex stakeholder environments and larger, complex organisations
• Significant experience leading projects and facilitating cross functional working groups
• Strong commercial acumen, strategic leadership, and agility
• Insight driven with the ability to turn data into insight and insight into profitable actions
• Media buying and media mix modelling experience ideal
